About The Farm

At Lydling Farm, we are committed to low-cost sustainable farming and conservation. Established in 1936, the farm has developed one of the country’s most esteemed herds of pure Aberdeen Angus cattle. Our cattle are born and raised on the farm, grazing on traditional grasslands during the summer months and fed home-grown silage throughout the winter.

We uphold high environmental and animal welfare standards, and our farming methods are rooted in these principles. The farm actively participates in conservation efforts, helping to boost biodiversity and maintain the beauty of the local landscape.

Stovold family move to Lydling Farm

Percy Stovold farms over 1500 acres in partnership with his father Ernest

Percy (P.C Stovold) buys several Aberdeen Angus from Perth

The Rosemead herd was established

Rosemead cattle do tour of shows across England

1958 – Bob aStovold assumes responsibility of Lydling farm. Bob became a very influential member of The Royal Smithfield club and continued to progress the Rosemead Herd

Angus Stovold takes over management of the farm, embarking on a mission to make a meaningful impact on Surrey agriculture, wildlife conservation, and the advancement of the Aberdeen Angus breed.

Tom Beadle joins the team as stockman where he quickly distinguishes himself through his passion and dedication towards unlocking the full potential of the herd. He now takes on the role of herd manager.

Rosemead Karona wins All Ireland Champion, Royal Balmoral Champion, European Gold and World Silver medal

Rosemead hosts the Aberdeen Angus international YDP final for a second time

We are dedicated to producing and sourcing easy-doing, docile bulls and females, all while maintaining exceptional attributes. Our commitment to superior health and quality is at the heart of everything we do

We take great pride in our ‘Elite’ health status. We do not vaccinate for any diseases, and all animals are sold free from Leptos, BVD, IBR and Johne’s. We are also in a TB 4- yearly testing area, and never had a reactor.
