Our Current Herd
Our Current Herd
During the summer months, we typically manage three distinct herds. Our breeding programme is rooted in tradition, with many of our female lines traceable through generations, some extending back almost a century. This deep genetic heritage forms the cornerstone of our herd’s quality, consistency, and character.
Each year, we select a standout bull from our own stock to lead our breeding efforts. To ensure ongoing genetic diversity and continual improvement, we also introduce a limited number of carefully chosen stock bulls from outside herds. These additions are selected based on rigorous criteria, including temperament, structure, and proven bloodlines, to complement and enhance the integrity of our existing herd.
Our commitment to thoughtful breeding ensures that we maintain a robust, well-balanced herd known for its classic Aberdeen Angus traits.

Current Female lines
All female lines trace back to an original foundation cow. We currently maintain 23 distinct female lines, each of which can be further grouped into their original family origins.
Many of these lines can be traced back to cows from the 1940s and 1950s, preserving valuable genetics and heritage.
Every female retained in our herd must meet strict criteria, including correct shape and size, a quality head, sound locomotion, strong feet, calm temperament, and performance figures that align with our breeding standards.
